WHAT WE DO?

Providing parents & carers of children under 16, young people 16-18 or young adults with mediation advice, mediation and disagreement resolution services.

Contact Us

Forward the LA email PDF, or scan (or use your cameraphone to take a picture of) your LA decision letter and email it to to us - please make sure this is at least 2 weeks from your expiry deadline (2 months from the date of your LA letter) to ensure that an appointment is available within timescales.
Include your child's name, your name and phone number in your email.

Book A Telephone Appointment

We will be in touch to schedule your initial telephone mediation appointment. Please note you must leave enough time (usually 7-10 working days) for an appointment  to be available within 2 months of the date of your LA decision letter, so don't leave it to the last week or so (or else you will be 'out-of-time.')

We Handle the Rest!

We will make all the necessary arrangements preparing everyone involved for the SEN Mediation process. We also handle all Outcome and Certification documentation (including Certification if you are going to Tribunal).

Mediation services are provided free of charge to parents and young people.

Going to mediation does not affect your legal rights to go on to Tribunal, if an appropriate solution and agreement isn't reached in mediation. Mediation is a fast and effective way of seeing if it is possible to agree a 'fundamentally wise' resolution.

Local authorities may also refer parents or young people directly to senmediator.co.uk. Please note that we can only provide mediation services if we have a service provision agreement with your local authority - check your local authority decision letter (or ask your local authority education officer).
